Car valuations
MG cars are now a valuable asset and it is important that they have a regular updating of the valuation to keep abreast of market movements, so that if you wish to insure properly or to prepare to sell, we are able to provide a full service based on long experience. Similarly if you are about to buy an MG I am able to provide you with a detailed engineer's report on the condition of the vehicle you propose to buy.
The cost is payable on presentation of the report, which may vary between a simple filling in of a document provided by your insurance company to a full and detailed multi-paged document. Naturally the cost varies with the level of work I have to put in, but the following guide lines will assist.
My experience in this field is considerable, and I have in the past been retained by Warwickshire Trading Standards Office to report on work carried out by garages.
Naturally, my experience in detail is with MG cars, but I am qualified to give reports on all types of classic car for insurance purposes, and am accepted by most of the classic car insurers for this purpose.
All reports carried out other than on my premises in Newbury will be subject to a travelling charge, which is based on £1.25 per mile (or part) travelled in my transport. If you convey me to see the car, then £17.50 per hour away from Newbury will be charged, these amounts are added to the costs below.
1. Engineer's report for insurance
£50 for the report, using the Insurance Company's form, usually completed immediately.
2. Full Engineer's report on my stationery
£100 for the report delivered to your hands with three working days of the inspection.
3. Valuation of a car for sale or purchase
£50 for the report, which will be made verbally. If a full written report is required, then this will be submitted as above, within three days, and the charge will be £100.
